February 2019 Winner – Cabinet Refacing

David Huber - Miamisburg, OH

These clients wanted to update their old kitchen with something more modern and brighter. We replaced the raised panel doors with our shaker style Brickstone door in white and the addition of large cove crown molding.  Note that we modified the desk area with a wine cabinet and also added new accent doors. We replaced the hinges and slides to add the soft-close feature.

Mike, Janice and Jesse Dugan - Westwood, MA

This client is a certified kitchen designer and shared her rendition with us, which made this transformation simple and really fun. We were able to provide exactly what she envision for her space.  The cabinet boxes remained in place and didn’t make any changes to the layout.  The cherry slab doors were removed. We installed all new custom-made doors and drawer fronts using our Fenix door in a nero ingo color, and contrasting terra vineyard oak on the island.

Joel & Jessica Winters - Castle Rock, CO

By adding some custom cabinets and custom island legs, we were able to lengthen the look of this kitchen. It looks so much brighter and our clients were amazed by the transformation with a simple refacing + some custom elements.  We were able to complete this project in just over a week! The end result is stunning and we are so glad these homeowners found us online.

A fun gray kitchen! Our team installed new shaker doors & drawer fronts after painting the face frames the same color. We also installed a new pantry, bumped out the refrigerator cabinet to anchor the two ends, and painted the soffit and added shaker molding to tie everything together.  A new countertop and subway tile completed the transformation!

Jeff & Penny Toren - Main Line, PA

This client had builder grade cabinets with thermfoil doors and drawer fronts that were original to the home. They didn’t like the location of the cooktop on the island, and wanted to refresh the kitchen without the expense of gutting it and starting over. The cabinet boxes stayed in place and we added all new custom-made shaker style doors & drawer fronts in durable RTF, stratus color. Our team enlarged the island and added contrasting rustic doors & drawers in knotty hickory plus matching end panels with lock miter for a seamless install. The cooktop was relocated and we modified the base cabinets to make room for the new farmhouse sink.

Kitchen Tune-Up can Tune-Up any room in your home or business! This client wanted to add a wet bar in his basement and we had a lot of fun transforming the look and use of the space.  We installed new custom cabinets in our Fontana door style in hickory with a driftwood color stain. We included some roll-out trays and a pull-out trash bin for functionality, plus flooring, backsplash, countertops, a sink, and more. The end result is a beautiful and functional entertaining space.

Jill Lee - Santa Barbara County, CA - Lee

These natural maple cabinets had lost most of their finish and were impossible for the homeowners to clean. Our Tune-Up brought them back to life and we added new hardware to keep them looking like-new.

Jeff & Penny Toren - Main Line, PA

This client had a very traditional builder grade kitchen. They wanted a new color and style for their cabinets in addition to new countertops. After seeing our SRP-10 door style in a driftwood color with glaze at our showroom in Malvern, she fell in love and that was the door style and color we installed.  What a difference in this space!

January 2019 Winner – Custom Cabinets

Andy & Laura Leigh Mathis - Flagstaff, AZ

This client in Flagstaff Ranch wanted a completely new kitchen with a lighter look. We installed all new cabinets in our mission door with a custom gray stain on the perimeter cabinets and our mission door with a darker slate stain on the island. A pass through wall was enclosed to create more cabinet space. We also moved a wall oven to a base cabinet to create additional countertop space. A beautiful new marble backsplash and quartz countertop completed this stunning transformation!

Ryan & Michelle Thompson - Knoxville-TN-Thompson

These cabinets were in great shape, but our clients were tired of the wood look and ready for something new and different. They chose a beautiful light turquoise color with a slightly darker shade on the island to add some contrast. The pictures don’t do it justice! The end result is dramatically different, fits the homeowners style perfectly, and is much more modern.  What a fun project!

Mark & Mary Beth Levy - Williamsburg, VA

This client is serving our country in the US Armed Forces, and the family was reassigned from Little Rock, Arkansas to Yorktown, Virginia. Another Kitchen Tune-Up franchise location owned by Charlie & Susan Johnson in Little Rock had refaced the kitchen in their previous home.  The Johnson’s kindly referred our team in Williamsburg to do work in their new home in Virginia. This home was built in the early 1970’s, and kitchen was very dark with a peninsula that has wall cabinets and a pantry that served as a room divider. They wanted that cut down to open up the floor plan, but did not want to lose too much storage. Our team took down the wall cabinets, inverted them and used them on the back of the peninsula. We cut off the top of the pantry and put a new cabinet on the back side of it, and that solved the storage issue. Susan and Charlie’s team was very instrumental in help us put this project together as the family had not relocated yet – so we had to rely on their knowledge of the clients preferences as we were working on possible solutions. We couldn’t have done it without the help of our Kitchen Tune-Up franchise family! The end result is a stunning space that is both modern and functional for this family.

Kseniya Conniff - Atlanta - Sandy Springs, GA

This client has a beautiful home but the kitchen needed an update. In addition to refacing the existing cabinet boxes, we moved a few cabinets, added some additional cabinets, and installed a Lazy Susan and trash roll-out for functionality.  The homeowner chose new doors and drawer fronts in maple, our Brickstone door in white. The new countertops and backsplash compliment the existing flooring and appliances perfectly. The end result speaks for itself!  The homeowner is thrilled and so is our team.

Albert & Coleen Bridges - Richmond, VA - Bridges

This client liked her cabinets that are original to her 27 year old home, but knew they needed some help. Many areas were very worn with loss of the finish. She was completely surprised and happy with how well our team was able to restore them and make them look almost like new!

What a fun project! This oak kitchen was in great shape, but it looks like a completely different space entirely after the completion of cabinet Refacing Plus. The existing cabinet boxes stayed in place, and we added all new custom-made maple doors & drawer fronts in our Richfield style, biscuit with burnt glaze. Not the modification of the cabinets to accommodate the new range.

Andy & Laura Leigh Mathis - Flagstaff, AZ

This small kitchen underwent a huge transformation! Our customer wanted to get rid of her cabinets that were longer functioning well. We installed new custom cabinets for a brand new look. We added a pantry and expanded the peninsula area for additional storage space. Two upper cabinets were replaced with floating shelves to display favorite items. The backsplash is installed vertically for a fun, fresh look. The homeowner said the backsplash reminds her of the beautiful national forest we live in! She loves to cook and loves the serenity of the new space. We are so glad she found us in Mountain Living Magazine!

December 2018 Winner – Cabinet Refacing

Tom Love - Helena, MT

This 1950’s kitchen got a fresh new look. Our team added new doors & drawer fronts in durable rigid thermofoil (RTF) in a swiss elm matte color. We also added new drawer boxes with soft-close slides. Our client had new flooring, countertops, and backsplash added in addition to our cabinet update. They were thrilled with the option to reface the cabinets instead of replace them, and it looks like a completely new space. We also refaced the bathroom vanity using the same door style

December 2018 Winner – Cabinet Redooring

Albert & Coleen Bridges - Richmond, VA - Bridges

This client had oak custom cabinets, but wanted a modern shaker style. She chose white for the upper cabinets and our north sea on the base cabinets. We were able to add all new custom-made doors & drawer fronts and keep the existing boxes in place. We made modifications to remove the desk area and a custom end cap at the end of the run with shelving. We also added loads of roll-out trays for functionality and the outcome was fabulous!  Our client is thrilled and calls the space “farmhouse chic.”

November 2018 Winner – Cabinet Redooring

Andy & Laura Leigh Mathis - Flagstaff, AZ

Our customer recently purchased her home and loved the granite countertops, but not the dated oak cabinets. Our team redoored this kitchen with our Arlington door style in painted white with a factory finish and burnt glaze. We also raised a portion of the island countertop to create a more functional space. The white cabinets really brighten up this space and our customer is thrilled with her “new” kitchen and a process that did not involve demolition. The existing floors and backsplash look amazing with the new color scheme.

These clients called us because they wanted taller cabinets and a more contemporary look. Our team changed out all the wall cabinets as well as modifying to accommodate a taller refrigerator and a new wall oven. Note the full height pull-out left of the fridge and at the right end of the wall run. All of the ends were paneled, and the client chose a contrasting color for the island.  What a fun project!

November 2018 Winner – Cabinet Refacing

Matt Hubbard - Hinesville, GA

Check out the difference! This client was thinking about putting their home on the market, and knew a modern door style and color would help the home be more marketable and attract more potential buyers. In only TWO DAYS, our team refaced these cabinets and added all new white painted doors & drawer fronts in a shaker style, with a factory finish and custom-made to fit the existing boxes. Because the cabinets were refaced and a compete renovation was not necessary, our client saved a lot of money. They were also thrilled that the existing granite countertops, flooring, and backsplash did need to be disturbed. We finished the project with a Granite Tune-Up to clean, seal, and polish the stone tops.
