The previous two-tier island didn't provide the space or functionality Lisa wanted for cooking and entertaining. The new design created a larger, more streamlined surface that could better serve as a prep area and gathering place.

A double-waterfall quartz countertop gives the island a striking, contemporary finish, while the integrated wine cooler and trash can pullout add convenience without interrupting the clean design.

Modern Cabinetry with a Clean, Cohesive Look

For the cabinetry, Lisa and Chelle selected Elias Slim Shaker Zenith-style doors in White Maple Summer Haze.

The Slim Shaker profile brings a streamlined update to the kitchen while maintaining a versatile look that works beautifully with the other materials throughout the room.

Black Sutton handles from Hardware Resources provide contrast against the light cabinetry and help define the updated design.

The cabinetry was complemented by:

• Veined quartz countertops
• White backsplash tile
• Black cabinet hardware
• New pendant lighting
• Under-cabinet lighting
• A new sink and faucet

Together, these selections created a bright, cohesive kitchen with plenty of visual interest.

Lighting became another important component of the finished space.

New hanging lights help define the island and gathering area, while under-cabinet lighting adds illumination to work surfaces and highlights the new backsplash.

Beyond aesthetics, these lighting additions make food preparation and everyday kitchen tasks more comfortable and convenient.
