Kitchen Tune-Up Downers Grove, IL Donates to Walk for Hunger
Kitchen Tune-Up in Downers Grove, IL recently partnered with the Humanitarian Service Project and donated $1,500 to The Walk for Hunger. The goal of this campaign is to support 40 children and 6 seniors for one year in the DuPage, IL area. Kitchen Tune-Up was able to be a big part of helping the organization meet their $10,000 goal. The Humanitarian Service Project has been serving the DuPage and Kane county community for 40 years and their mission is to alleviate pain and suffering that poverty brings to seniors and children. The Senior Citizen Project delivers 100 pounds of groceries to seniors’ homes each month, and the Children’s Project helps to provide nutritional support at critical times during the year, birthday boxes, and school supplies. The Walk for Hunger is on April 27 and is part of the Human Race, an event put on by Giving DuPage. The Humanitarian Service Project is one of 50 charities participating to promote volunteerism throughout the whole county. Learn more about Humanitarian Service Project at www.hsp.agency.
